Harold Rogers, CEO
Harold Rogers is Founder and CEO of Rogers & Son's, Inc. Mr. Rogers held his first sheet metal position in Okalahoma in 1949 and actively entered the profession in 1952. He completed a four-year program in nine months, spending the remainder of his four-year apprentice program in advanced studies. He was awarded a prestigious “Outstanding Apprentice” award in 1955, and recognized at a National Convention. At the conclusion of his apprenticeship training, Mr. Rogers was contacted by the Adult Education Department of the Tulsa Oklahoma Public Schools to teach HVAC related courses. He served in that capacity teaching evening classes until he resigned in 1962. Simultaneous with his formal training courses and for a period of ten years, Mr. Rogers worked under a Purdue graduate engineer. This ten-year period played an important part in laying a foundation for establishing a business experience that would last for decades. In the fall of 1962, Mr. Rogers moved his family to Colorado to own and operate Tri-county Heating, Inc. the name was later changed to Tri-County Mechanical Systems, Inc. to better describe its expanded services. The company was sold in May 1978. Rogers & Son's, Inc. was founded in June 1978.
In addition to the general management of Rogers & Sons, Mr. Rogers estimates, designs, supervises the construction of buildings and systems. He works closely with architects, engineers, building officials, health and hospitals and licensing agencies. He designs warm air heating, hydronics, air conditioning, ventilation, sheet metal, plumbing applications and building construction.
Mr. Rogers has Heating and Ventilating, Refrigeration & Steam and Hot Water licenses through multiple jurisdictions. He has also taught journeyman code classes for the Sheet Metal Contractors Coalition (SMCC) in 1990, 1991 and 1992. He has held several seminars in the state of Colorado from 1990 through 1994 for contractors, building inspectors and HVACR suppliers. He is a past Technical Code Director Chairman for SMCC, past president of SMCC and the Sheet Metal Air Conditioning contractors National Association. Mr. Rogers has served on numerous committees for SMACNA; among with he serviced as labor chairman for four of the difficult years of labor turmoil. He also received national recognition for his involvement with the Residential Committee of SMACNA in the establishment of the Better Heating and Cooling Bureau.
